PSVT looking to commission a bronze specialist contract team for works on Port Sunlight’s bronze fountain

Port Sunlight Village Trust seeks to commission a bronze specialist contract team for the restoration of ‘Sea Piece’, a bronze fountain located in the Boating Pond, Port Sunlight. The specialist team ideally would be led by an ICON accredited conservator, with previous experience of work of this nature, a patination specialist and an art handling, logistics and transportation company. The aim of this project is to undertake works to remove the fountain from the site, to clean, repair and stabilise the bronze fountain, to refinish the bronze to match as closely as possible the original finish colour of the bronze, and to coordinate with other contractors to ensure the successful installation and operation of the fountain’s waterplay features.
