Full Day Experience

Spend the whole day with us embracing village life on your very own local history study day with our full day experiences which include:

  • A guided visit to the fascinating stories of Port Sunlight hidden in the Port Sunlight Museum. You will also be able to step back in time into our Edwardian Workers Cottage to see what houses would have looked like when Port Sunlight was created. You may just see some of the houses inhabitants rag rugging or shining their shoes!
  • A guided visit to our interactive STEM museum SoapWorks that explores the science behind soap and history and implications of soap sourcing.
  • Tailored walking tour across Port Sunlight led by our learning assistants.
  • A workshop of your choice.
  • Space to eat your lunch throughout the day.

Half Day Experience

On a time crunch? Struggling to fit a whole day away from school? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered. You can also join us on a half day visit and choose between any of the following options:

Option 1: Guided visit to all museums (Port Sunlight Museum, Workers Cottage and SoapWorks)
Option 2: Guided walking tour and workshop of choice
Option 3: Guided walking tour and Port Sunlight Museum & Workers Cottage
Option 4: 2 x workshops of your choice

All the above include the option of using our education space for lunch if required.

Plan Your Visit

Tailor your Port Sunlight learning journey with our experience offers. Our learning offer can accommodate two classes of up to 36 children at one time, some offers such as stand-alone workshops can be tailored for larger groups, please enquire for more information – [email protected].

 

Outreach Engagement

We understand it can often be difficult to leave school or your group’s base, this is why we’ve developed bespoke education offered that can be delivered as an outreach session. Please refer to our workshop offer page for options.

Loan Boxes are also available to hire throughout the year for schools and groups to host their own engagement activities throughout the year.
