Edwardian Worker’s Cottage

See inside one of Port Sunlight’s famous worker cottages

Next door to Port Sunlight Museum at No. 22 King George’s Drive, you can step inside a Port Sunlight worker’s cottage to experience what everyday life was like here in Edwardian times.

Explore the recreated home of the Carr family, who were real long-time tenants and worked in the Lever Brothers factory. The cottage is filled with artefacts and you’ll be given a warm welcome by our guides, who will share the stories of this special house.

Inside, you can journey through the parlour, scullery, main bedroom and temporary exhibition room, as well as glimpse into the child’s bedroom.
