Statement regarding 15 Bolton Road, Port Sunlight
04 Sep 2026
Port Sunlight Village Trust has taken the decision to sell one of our residential properties, 15 Bolton Road.
The Grade II listed property is one of nearly 300 owned and cared for by Port Sunlight Village Trust, following our independent charity being established by Unilever in 1999. The property provided a much-loved family home for many years until 2025, when it became vacant, and it was assessed that the large size of the property and the lack of demand for 5-bedroom properties means that it no longer fits with our lettings portfolio.
A range of options have been carefully considered by Port Sunlight Village Trust, and after a detailed assessment, selling the property in its current condition has been agreed to be the most responsible and sustainable option. The building’s listed status will remain in place to protect its historic character, and a restrictive covenant will ensure that it remains as a single residential dwelling. Relevant stakeholders have been informed and are supportive.
The sale of 15 Bolton Road will allow Port Sunlight Village Trust to invest in the important projects behind our strategic priorities. It also supports the aims set out in our Strategic Plan 2025-28 to increase our financial and organisational resilience and ensure Port Sunlight’s historic buildings are sustainably protected and conserved.
The property is being sold through Lesley Hooks Estate Agents.
