Volunteering at Port Sunlight

Volunteering is at the very heart of our organisation.

The energy, initiative and generosity of our volunteers is key to a successful, sustainable future – both for Port Sunlight Village Trust and the village as a whole.

Our volunteers donate their valuable time right across the charity. They provide guided tours of the village; research our museum collections; help to maintain our parks and gardens; steward in our museums and historic buildings; support our social groups and elderly residents; and so much more.

To find out more about our volunteering opportunities and to apply, please email [email protected]. If you need any assistance, please call 0151 644 4800.

Collections Inventory Project Volunteer

If you have an eye for detail, enjoy data entry, and have a passion for history, this might be the role for you! We are looking for someone to work with us to complete an inventory check of our object stores. The role involves working directly with historic objects, systematically checking and recording a description of each item in our database, thereby helping to improve our records and knowledge of this collection. If you would like to learn more about the history of this unique village and develop skills and experience with collections, we’d love to hear from you. This project will initially last for 6 months, after which the project and role will be re-evaluated.

Interviews will take place on 25th and 26th June. The likely start date for this role is likely to be early July.
