Port Sunlight Road Race 2017

This year’s Port Sunlight 10K Road Race will take place on Sunday 18th June, and is being sponsored by Unilever.  This is the sixth annual race day event and will include a 10K, 5K, and children’s 1K fun run.

Last year’s event attracted 1,700 enthusiastic runners who enjoyed visiting our picturesque village, taking in the tree-lined boulevards for the 5K and 10K routes.  The 5K race starts at 10am, and is followed at 11am by the 10K race.  Once the 10K runners have completed the race, there is a children’s 1K fun run.

The BTR Port Sunlight Road Race is organised in conjunction with Port Sunlight Village Trust and is sponsored by Unilever.  The races start and finish next to the village green, adjacent to Port Sunlight Museum, which provides a fantastic backdrop to the event.

BTR Race Director Alan Rothwell commented: “The BTR Port Sunlight Road Race is firmly established in the village’s event calendar and also on the region’s running scene.  We are again delighted to be working with Port Sunlight Village trust to stage the event and for the support of sponsor, Unilever.  We must also say a big thank you to the residents of the village who cheer on the runners, making them feel very welcome.”

You can register for either the 5K or 10K races here.

The children’s 1K fun run is open to youngsters up to the age of 12.  Entry is £5 per child and entries are taken on the day.  Youngsters also receive a medal and goody bag.  Parents can accompany their children around the course.  Parents are asked to register their interest in advance by emailing alan@btrliverpool.com
