Filming in the village
Port Sunlight Village is an ideal and very popular film set. Recently we have welcomed crews filming documentaries such as Michael Portillo’s Great British Railway Journeys and popular special interest programmes such as Antiques Roadshow, Flog It! (see photo) and Songs of Praise.
Recent hits such as Peaky Blinders and The Five have been filmed here, as have classic films, with the Oscar-winning Chariots of Fire probably the best known. The forthcoming biopic of Lord of the Rings author J.R.R. Tolkien has also been filmed in various locations around the village.
